Become a member

An application for membership in the VDAT can be made by companies in the tuning and accessories industry as well as suppliers to the industry. Even workshops and accessories distributors of the wholesalers can become a member. Prerequisite is the compliance of the statute requirements and a positive vote by the Admissions Committee.

Through membership, a company recognizes the statute and the goals of the association. The objectives concern the marketing of tuning and accessories in Germany in particular:

    - Offering tuning and accessory parts with the approvals or certificates required for legal use on public roads
    - Transparent communication of relevant consumer information requirements - in particular, e.g. the relevance of a component towards the expiry of a vehicle's operating license
